Edison is an audio editor that can be run as a VST plugin or a standalone application. It is optimized for sampler use such as sampler regions, seamless looping and drumloop slicing. As it can be used as a plugin it can record audio streams from within the host application. With high quality resampling and support for 32bit floating point editing this is my go to audio editor. It also has both waveform and spectral analysis display which has become vital to some of my editing espacially editing percussive samples that has been recorded from or through analouge gear or printed to tape.
