Cute story about aliens by John Hodgman

Humorist John Hodgman rambles through a story about aliens, physics, time, space and the way all of these somehow contribute to a sweet, perfect memory of falling in love. John Hodgman is a writer, humorist, geek celebrity, former professional literary agent, a This American Life contributor and expert on all world knowledge. He was the PC in Apple’s “I’m a Mac; I’m a PC” smackdown ad campaign. Anyway he’s funny so you should see this.

“Where is everybody?” asked Fermi, and his colleagues had no answer. Fermi then went on with the same blunt logic to disprove fairies, Sasquatch, God, the possibility of love — and thereafter, as you know, Enrico Fermi ate alone. (Laughter) Now, I am not a scientist. I have never built an atomic pile. Although, I might argue that, technically, every pile is atomic.

Here is a bonus. A This American Life story with John Hodgman about him writing a screenplay, but theres a slight problem. It was already written and was coming out very soon as a movie titled Star Wars Edpisode I.
